Delta, British Columbia Moving Companies
North American Van Lines: The Delta moving company that makes your satisfaction the ultimate priority.
Is it time for you to move out towards the region of Delta, British Columbia? If so, North American will be ready to meet you more than halfway with our unmatched level of service.
As a significant part of the region comprising Greater Vancouver, the district municipality of Delta is situated on the southern end of Richmond across the prominent Fraser River. Interestingly, Delta itself is comprised of a range of distinct communities within its borders. The communities of North Delta, Tsawwassen and Ladner, make up the unique boroughs of the municipality.
Historically, the district was originally home to a range of indigenous peoples (the most prominent likely being the Tsawwassen), with European settlers only first arriving sometime in the midway point of the 19th century. Somewhat ironically, the area was originally mistaken for an island, and was known for some time by settlers as “Isla Capeda”. It is somewhat understandable for this mistake to have been made during early cartographic efforts, as the district is considerably remote. The completion of major bridges in recent decades during the late 20th century gave way for an expedited level of commerce and travel, doing away somewhat with the area’s longstanding reputation as a difficult place to travel to and from.
The majority of modern residents across Delta reside in the sub-community of North Delta, which is largely suburban in nature and is near Surrey. Ladner and Tsawwassen, however, combine to form roughly half of the district’s population, with much of the district’s historical context deriving in and around the Ladner area.
If it’s a move towards Delta that you’re in the market for, or even if you’re hoping to make your way out of the area towards new horizons, you can bank on North American Van Lines being your best bet in ensuring that every step of your move is perfectly executed along the way.
