Also known as "Canada's Castle," this beautiful mansion was built by a coal baron in the 19th century and is just a short walk from the Victoria harbour. There are 39 rooms and 20,000 square feet of gorgeous late 19th century architecture to gaze at here.
The Royal BC Museum is considered one of the cultural havens of the province and focuses on the customs, history and language of the British Columbia region. This could be a great place to learn about your new home, as the museum houses many exhibits on the region's natural and human histories.
Beacon Hill Park is another major attraction in Victoria and is considered the "crowning jewel" in the city's park system. Here you can enjoy flowering gardens, paragliding, sailboarding and strolling through the peaceful paths.
